E-mail addresses and more Rice for NBC

Another 60 boxes are on their way to NBC (90 total boxes shipped so far), and the donations are coming in so fast I can't keep up! (that's good and bad). Again, if anyone can give me the addresses of any online grocery stores that will deliver to NY, that will help. Right now, I'm going both through netgrocer and mailing my own after ransacking the local store of all their Rice-A-Roni.

I also have yet to update the donations page with several donations that I've recieved over the last day and a half, so if you don't see your name yet, don't worry! I should be updating later tonight.

Journeyman fan Allen sent me this summary of everyone he's contacted at NBC and their responses. This might be useful to see who's paying attention at NBC, and throwing an e-mail to these people might be helpful:

John Miller - Chief Marketing Officer NBC Universal Television
Group
John.Miller@nbcuni.com

Response:Thanks for the note - Journeyman is a terrific series in search of an audience. We plan on giving it time and continue to market it...keep your word of mouth going!
Best
John Miller

Joanne Park - Senior Press Manager NBC Entertainment Publicity
Joanne.park@nbcuni.com

Response:WE LOVE THE SHOW TOO!! PLEASE KEEP WATCHING! THANKS

[note: Joanne is basically in charge of Journeyman press publicity, so she's likely not involved in the decision making process, but she would still be able to pass on the information about all the e-mails she's received]

Marc Hirshfeld - Executive Vice President, Casting, NBC Universal
Television
Marc.Hirshfeld@nbcuni.com

Response:I appreciate the positive feedback and will share this with our current execs as well. Thanks for watching the show. Tell your friends to tune in!
MH

The following people did not reply, so either they're too busy, not involved with the show, or whatever. It couldn't hurt to e-mail them a lot too, though!

Mitch Metcalf - Executive Vice President, Program Planning & Scheduling
NBC Universal
Mitch.Metcalf@nbcuni.com

Vince ManzePresident, NBC Program Planning, Scheduling and Strategy NBC
Universal
Vince.Manze@nbcuni.com

Lisa VebberSenior Vice President, Scheduling & Strategic Analysis
Lisa.Vebber@nbcuni.com

And Rick LudwinExecutive Vice President, Late Night and Primetime Series,
NBC Entertainment
Rick.Ludwin@nbcuni.com
Note: Not involved with Journeyman do not send him email.

If you plan to e-mail any of these people, it's critical not to take a combattive approach. You want to be friendly, and express to them how saddened you are over the potential loss of the show, how much you love it, and how much you'd love for them to pick it up for another season. It might also be good to mention that you feel Journeyman is in a bad time slot, and mention that it's inconvenient for you to watch it at that hour. Perhaps enough people complaining about time slot and they'll considering that when looking at Journeyman's ratings!

And don't forget http://savejourneyman.funurl.com/ for details on the Rice-A-Roni campaign, and also my blog post from last week on how you can send your own.

I blogged about this today.
Where do we stand on the production team moving on to other things if the show is not renewed in the next couple of weeks?

Hey, FWIW I updated my Journeyman Squidoo page to include a link to your campaign.

I tried to link to an Amazon listing of Rice A Roni sales, as I thought it might be easier, but they are "sold out". Anyway, good luck to you! Here is my Squidoo page...

Target stores in my area are selling it for .89 a box right now. I just sent a dozen plus some pain killers, but i am guessing 20 or so would fit in a flat rate box. If you clean your town out, let me know and i would be happy to help with the buying and shipping!

I blogged about this and included a link to your site. I'd hate to see this show dumped.

The big online grocery deliverer in NYC is FreshDirect.com. They do have Rice-a-Roni... here's the link:

http://www.freshdirect.com/category.jsp?catId=gro_rice_ricep&prodCatId=gro_rice_ricep&productId=gro_rcroni_chkn&trk=srch

if that doesn't work try: http://tinyurl.com/2vca9d

Can we hand deliver? Is there something wrong with doing that, as opposed to mailing/shipping?

Anonymous said...

Erin I dont see why you couldn't. They are coming to them from ups, usps, fed ex.. a hand delivery would probably be ok too, I think?

just an fyi to all of you i have emailed the people that you have mentioned about 5 times and am planning to continue emailing. I have a question. If i were to donate money to the fund to ship out rice-a-roni boxes does the bill come directly to my house or is there even a bill? could someone fill me in please.

to all keep up the good work in the interview with Kevin Falls he mentioned that NBC has never seen a response like this to any of their shows. meaning that what we are doing is being noticed so keep up the great work everyone. keep sending out rice-a-roni and the emails also keep telling everyone about the show.

More good news for all, NBC now has all of the Journeyman episodes on nbc.com. when you get to the site go to the Journeyman page and click on video, then click on full episodes and pick an episode. nbc having all of the episodes is good because i think they are really starting no notice how much we love this show. So tell everyone you know they can catch up all the episodes online. You can also tell all the people who want to watch but want to start from the beigining, well now they can!!

LETS FIGHT NOW HARDER THAN EVER TO KEEP THE SHOW WE LOVE ALIVE!!
