Chat Update

The chat went well, and we've made some good preliminary progress in forming a cohesive plan of attack. There is also a new chat scheduled for Tuesday, Nov 27th at 10pm eastern. Be sure to join in on the fun!

I'll be updating soon on what we talked about at the last chat, and what you can do to help.

(I've posted the following to the website, but I'm going to post here for archival purposes as well)

I'm going to be contacting "Nuts Online" - the people behind the tons of nuts sent to CBS execs in the "Nuts for Jericho" campaign, to see if they can give us some advice and possibly help us with a similar effort. Truckloads of nuts were purchased through their website and sent to CBS, which ultimately resulted in CBS renewing Jericho for a "mini-season." I'm hoping that a similar effort might be able to get started for Journeyman, as they have many other items in addition to nuts including fruit, candy, and other snacks.

Tell people that they can vote EVERY day for the PCA awards. In fact, if you have multiple computers, vote several times!!!

Also, tell people to watch the show online - that is one way of getting counted.

The online petition probably doesn't do that much good, but we should try. Jericho had over 100k signatures, and we have to shoot for the same thing. 2000 isn't going to do us any good. Invasion had like 70000 and that didn't get saved.

I wouldn't necessarily go with something thru NutsOnline. Some good ideas had been suggested on the NBC boards which tie in more with the show:
1) "Blowback" bubblegum campaign.
2) "take a gamble on Journeyman" - send poker chips.

I'd suggest produce (non-exploding, of course) as something to send, but yeah, as Dave M said, we need more names and people watching.

Dave - thanks for the suggestions and for the help!

I like the idea of sending almost anything to NBC, but I agree with Jenn - I do think we should send something food related that would be able to be donated to charities. Poker chips have a somewhat negative connotation (gambling) and aren't much good for charity, and bubble gum, while tatsy, doesn't really help feed the hungry or something like that.
