Considering that many, many people have sent their own orders of Rice-A-Roni to NBC, (many of those orders being for multiple boxes and/or cases), the fact that City Harvest only claims to have gotten 400 boxes still doesn't sound possible to me. I'm still wondering if they're not reporting a "box" as "one box" even when it contains several boxes of Rice-A-Roni.
Hopefully we'll get some answers on this! One thing I'm sure of is that between our orders here and individual people sending in boxes, NBC has received and signed for well beyond 400 boxes, (and over 2000 from the donations here, not counting all the individual shipments). What they've done with them at this point is still in question.

Valentines Day (2/14) is the target date for a big Rice-a-Roni send - the day to show our love for Journeyman. Go to the supermarket this weekend, pick up a some rice-a-roni, put it in a box, and enclose a quick handwritten note. Send it to:

Well said! Don't give up Journeyman fans. We don't want to settle for mediocre television. Let's tell NBC on Valentine's week that we love Journeyman and that we're willing to speak up for it. Let them know that the viewer's voices count.

You know, everybody sends this stuff in with the understanding that it will ultimately make its way to some charity. Realistically though, I guess it's up to the network whether they actually want to donate all of that rice to the needy during the holidays or take 85% of it home and eat it for the next four years.

Hi Wally -- I wanted to shoot you a quick update on the number of boxes of Rice-a-Roni that City Harvest has received through your campaign to save Journeyman. There was a bit of a disconnect on our end related to how we generally track food donations which is in weight; not number of boxes. When I gave you the 400 number that was actually the weight of the donation, not the number of individual boxes of Rice-A-Roni that we received. The true number of boxes is just over 1,600...a tremendous donation for hungry New Yorkers! I hope this new information helps to alleviate your concerns. Good luck in your continued efforts!

This looks much better I think. I can see the first couple hundred boxes being thrown away until somebody at NBC got wise.
Well, that does sound better. I figured, if anything, that they might have been spreading a good portion of it among other charities, so that no one place would get too much attention for the fans or the show out of it.
Such good news! And so good of City Harvest to correct the information.

Vote for Journeyman on www.scifi.com/scifiwire. They have a poll asking which show you want back the most now that the strike is over. Maybe if it gets enough votes SciFi Channel will consider running it.
You know, it would really burn my backside at this point if they decided against bringing it back, diddled around until the cast and crew found other work, and then decided to air the entire 13 episodes on Sci-Fi, and in a real juicy 8 or 9PM time slot, too. Just seems like a stunt an evil network would pull.
I'm glad people are fighting for such a great show like Journeyman. Although, I'm not sure what Rice-a-Roni has to do with it...but whatever helps the cause. I was thinking of getting some cheap watches to send. After all it is time travel.
They were trying to come up with something that was "donateable" during the holidays, and Rice-A-Roni was it - y'know cos of the whole San Francisco thing.
I would have gone with watches, too. But what's the network gonna do with thousands of watches that they couldn't do better with thousands of boxes of rice?
